A different kind of coaching starts with a good conversation.

A different kind of coaching starts with a good conversation.

I’m Amy White, an Executive & Leadership Coach with more than 18 years’ experience working within the psychology as a Clinical Director and alongside Clinical Psychologists.

My professional background has given me a unique perspective on people, work, responsibility and change. I’ve spent many years supporting the development and coordination of a specialist psychology practice, working closely with clinicians, clients and professionals and seeing first-hand the demands that come with leadership, professional responsibility and managing a busy working life.

Today, alongside my role as Clinical Director within Private Psychology in Nottinghamshire, I offer Executive & Leadership Coaching to a small number of professionals, leaders and business owners who want somewhere to step back, reflect and think things through

My professional background

For more than 18 years, I have worked alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the wider clinical team.

My role has developed considerably over that time. I now coordinate clients, clinic operations and the clinical team, helping to bring together the practical and professional sides of running a specialist psychology practice.

Being part of that environment has meant having countless conversations with people about work, responsibility, confidence, difficult decisions, professional relationships and change.

It has also taught me that being capable and successful doesn't mean you always know what to do next.

Sometimes, the people who appear to have everything under control are the ones carrying the most responsibility.

Why coaching?

I trained as a Life Coach because I’ve always been interested in what helps people move forward, make decisions and create meaningful change.

But my approach to coaching has been shaped just as much by my professional experience.

I don't believe coaching should be about telling you who you should be, giving you a formula for success or suggesting that there is one right way to lead.

Instead, I provide a confidential and thoughtful space where you can step away from the demands of your role and properly think.

I’ll listen. I’ll ask questions. I’ll challenge you when I think it could be helpful. And, where appropriate, I may offer a different perspective.

You remain the expert in your own life, your work and your circumstances.

The work I care about

I particularly enjoy working with people who are thoughtful, motivated and willing to reflect.

You might be stepping into a new leadership role, carrying more responsibility than you expected, running your own business, navigating change or simply questioning whether the way you are working is still working for you.

You don't necessarily need something to be wrong.

Sometimes, you simply want somewhere to think.

That is what Amy White Coaching is about.

Confidence. Perspective. Growth. Leadership. Reflection. Balance.

A little about my approach

My coaching is professional, honest and grounded.

There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out. There is no prescribed version of what a successful leader should look like.

Our conversations are shaped around you, your circumstances and what you want to explore.

And if coaching isn't the right fit for what you need, I'll always be honest about that.

If you think coaching could be helpful, let's start with a conversation.

ALWAYS

Being my

Authentic Self!

You will always find me at the buffet.

I absolutely love a good buffet, and I can’t get enough of cheese and pineapple on sticks! It’s one of my favourite things. I'm not shy of what I put on my plate.

My family life

My circle of trust means everything to me. I truly treasure the moments I share with my three children, my husband, and our much-loved dog, Ralph.

Outdoors and fresh air

Being outdoors is where I’m happiest. I love glamping and camping or give me a Shepherds Hut—there’s just something about being in nature that fills me with so much joy & peace.

I'm no baker, I'm a feeder!

I’ve got to admit, baking isn’t my strength. I once put 10 eggs in my son’s 3rd birthday cake, thinking it would make it rise better… instead, raw egg came out of it! Needless to say, I’ve learned my lesson. Home-cooked meals are my thing. I absolutely love cooking for my family & Friends—there’s nothing better than sharing a meal made with love.

Empower Hour!

Taking time out with friends is simply the best! Recharging that incredible feminine energy, empowering each other within your circle of trust is everything to me. Sometimes, all it takes is that WhatsApp: “Are you coming over Friday in your PJs for a takeaway?”—or even, “Get your lippy on, Amy, our local has a great band next weekend!” No pressure, no hard expectations—just those wonderfully easy-going, heart-warming friendships that truly make life special.
